I would recommend to have somebody read the OBD signals, this should lead to one or more directions, where to look more closely. Some possilibities, that come to my mind, are: Found and fixed another restricted performance culprit. I had RS coming up after driving and pushing it a bit, ie right round the rev range changing up. Hi all. I am getting Restricted Performance with check engine light, orange and red light on the dash and Cruise not available. SDD is reading P0730 and P0702 from TCM and P0702 from ECM with P1000. On cold morning, my 2004 Vanden Plas gearbox fault code comes on along w/restricted performance. After shutting down the engine and rebooting, the code goes away. It was restricting my cars performance to about 2500 revs.
I had a similar issue with Restricted Performance recently and eventually found out it was the DPF that needed cleaning. Details on this thread: Restricted Performance. Anonymous. 295 Answers. SOURCE: 1999 Jaguar. Gearbox fault Restricted Performance. I would make sure the fluid maintenance is done.
