IIRC extended fasting has health benefits like autophagy which don’t begin until around 72 hours (please correct me if I am wrong), there is always a very small level of autophagy happening all the time, but it supposedly peaks at 72 hours, it builds up fast during the first 72 hours, peaks at around 72 hours, then has diminishing returns

Ieat one meal per day plus dessert/snacks within the 1-1.5 hour window. So I'm covering all bases nutrient/craving wise and don't feel deprived of anything. But also because I get full so quickly it's not a huge blowout or binge fest. Weightloss is slower than ADF but consistently going down. I throw in a 36 or 48 hour fast every few weeks.

Fasting for a day and it would still be beneficial. I lost 100lbs and built a load of muscle by working out fasted.
Ido fasting for gut health reasons and the most I see in a 48 hour fast is a slight decrease in strength on day 2 or 3. I generally do more lighter reps than heavier ones. If you play a sport, I'd also not do a 48 hour fast on those days if you care about preformance. I'll play soccer on a 36 hour fast but 2 or 3 day fast, I'm slower.
